Pitch your idea in the cold Svratka River
Ice Hole Pitching Brno is a community event for cold-water enthusiasts who want to present their startup, company, idea or themselves while standing neck-deep in icy water. If pitching makes you sweat, that is one problem you will not have here! 🥶❄️🧊
And if you do not feel ready to get into the water, come cheer everyone on and make new connections.

After entering the water, you first have time to catch your breath. The pitch timer starts only when you explicitly say you are ready, not automatically when you enter or submerge yourself.
Recording is optional. If you choose to be recorded, you will receive your pitch recording on YouTube and the video may also appear on this website. Declining to be recorded does not prevent participation.
Who may enter the water
Only adults aged 18 or over may enter the water.
The event is only for people who already have personal experience of entering cold water. It must not be your first attempt at cold-water immersion. If you have no cold-water experience yet, get in touch with Jarek and try it beforehand.
You enter the water and participate in the event at your own risk.
This is a community event, not a cold-water training course, a professionally managed sporting event or a medically supervised service.

Pitching order
Pitchers will enter the water in registration order.
Warm clothes and a blanket
Bring your own warm clothes to change into after leaving the water and, if useful, a blanket.
Tea and refreshments
You are welcome to bring a flask of tea or a small snack to share with others.
Transport and parking
We recommend travelling to the venue by public transport. If you do arrive by car, park only where parking is permitted. The car park directly above the venue is private and belongs to the nearby residences.

I got the idea for this event at JIC, where there had already been an attempt to organise it in the past, but it apparently never came to fruition. As there probably will not be enough people with a startup, I have also opened the pitching to those who want to introduce their company or themselves.
You can get in touch if you have no experience with cold-water swimming yet. A friend and I meet by the Svratka River in Jundrov every Saturday at around 11 a.m. and will be happy to help you with your first time in the water and keep an eye on you.
